June 13, 2017: PRESS RELEASE: COCO COMES TO CRASH THE PARTY IN CRASH BANDICOOT N. SANE TRILOGY

For the First Time, Fans will be Able to Play as Crash’s Sassy Sister in All Three Games

London, UK. – 13th June, 2017 – It’s going to be an epic blast from the past, as both your favourite marsupials from Crash Bandicoot™ are back! Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), announced today that for the first time Crash’s smart and spirited little sister, Coco, will be playable throughout the Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy. In Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, players can take a visually stunning, nostalgic ride as Crash or Coco in all three Crash games that started it all: Crash Bandicoot™, Crash Bandicoot™ 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot™ 3: Warped. E3 attendees can take the famous duo for a whirl by visiting the N. Sane Crash Experience in the lobby of the South Hall, where Activision is rolling out the orange carpet with hands-on demo stations and daily giveaways to welcome Crash Bandicoot fans and new players alike.

“We are so excited to give players the ability to play as Coco in all three games in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy,” said Jennifer Oneal, studio head for Vicarious Visions. “She’s not just Crash’s little sister, she is a force to be reckoned with. Our vision was to create a modern Coco for Crash fans and newcomers and we think they’re going to love playing as her.”

In the remastered Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Coco has decided to hack into the Time Twister to travel back in time to help Crash in his previous adventures. Now as a fully playable (and a bit sassy) character across all three games, fans can switch between playing as Crash or Coco. Both characters have an N. Sane set of special attacks – each with their own style! Where Crash body slams enemies, Coco takes them out with the impact of a double leg drop! Fans will love to see all her new moves and animations, including idle moves like dancing with Crash.

“Activision recently left a nearly complete build of the remastered Crash trilogy at Naughty Dog, and I’ve played all three games,” said Evan Wells, President, Naughty Dog. “Vicarious Visions took amazing care in maintaining the feel and soul of the originals but brought the visuals up to modern day standards and added a number of new features that’s made them even more fun to play than remembered.”

Fans will enjoy seeing their beloved ‘90s video game icons like never before in this fully-remastered game collection. Developed by Vicarious Visions, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy takes advantage of PlayStation 4 features and offers brand-new lighting, animations, textures, models and recreated cinematics—all in dazzling “N. Hanced Fur-K” and PS4 Pro HD.

Full analogue stick support and a unified save system and checkpoint system will make it easier for new fans to enjoy the classic adventures. And improved bonus levels and time trials in this epic trilogy will challenge the hardest of the ‘Coot core! Fans will enjoy seeing how they stack up against their friends and other players around the world via the online leaderboards.

Activision and Vicarious Visions are honouring the heritage of Crash throughout the trilogy in a variety of ways, including a fully-remastered game soundtrack packed with all the didgeridoos, xylophones and thumpin’ bass lines you can handle, as well as newly recorded dialogue from some of the familiar voice actors who appear in the original Crash Bandicoot games, including Jess Harnell, Lex Lang and Debi Derryberry, among others.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is slated to spin, jump and wump onto store shelves on 30th June, 2017 and is available now worldwide for pre-order on PS4 and PS4 Pro. June 8, 2017: Activision at E3 2017!

From Call of Duty: WWII to Destiny 2 to the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, check out everything that Activision has going on at E3

This year, you can’t spell Activision without E3. Well, okay actually you can. Because otherwise it would look something like Active3ion, which is just ridiculous. But what’s not ridiculous is the sheer amount of awesome that will be coming from the Activision Booth at E3.

If you’re attending the show, be sure to stop by and see us in the South Hall at Booth #1001, and also visit the PlayStation Booth in the West Hall. Plus, make sure not to miss everyone’s favorite Bandicoot at the N. Sane Crash Experience in the South Hall Lobby. And if you’re not at E3 in person, don’t worry! We’ll have plenty of coverage across Activision’s social channels and right here on the Activision Games Blog.

Here’s a rundown for everything Activision at E3:

CALL OF DUTY: WWII

Call of Duty returns to its roots with the highly anticipated Call of Duty: WWII developed by Sledgehammer Games. E3 will offer hands-on with the game for the very first time, including a first look at Divisions, a fundamentally new way to focus on your multiplayer career. Players will join one of five iconic World War II Divisions, each with their own unique weapons and abilities.

  • Airborne: First to the fight, where you move fast and stay quiet
  • Mountain: Focusing on precise and deadly sharpshooting
  • Infantry: Be the tip of the spear
  • Armored: Bringing the heaviest firepower
  • Expeditionary Force: Packing heat with incendiary shells

In addition to the traditional Multiplayer, players will also be treated to the brand-new War Mode, developed in partnership with Raven Software. War Mode is an all-new game mode where players must work as a team to defeat the enemy. This narrative-driven Multiplayer experience immerses players in iconic World War II locations. Allied and Axis forces clash in team-driven assault and defend missions for key strategic objectives, bringing an entirely new dynamic to Call of Duty.

Players will also experience Headquarters, a franchise first, all new off-the-frontlines experience for Call of Duty fans. Players will compete, earn rewards, show off their accomplishments, and connect with friends. Unlike anything experienced in Call of Duty to date, Headquarters transforms the Multiplayer experience by redefining how players engage with the game and with each other.

Call of Duty: WWII is available for preorder now, and look for special announcements about the upcoming Private Beta during E3.

Call of Duty: WWII Multiplayer will be playable on PlayStation 4 consoles at both the Activision Booth (South Hall #1001) and the PlayStation Booth (West Hall #4322).

DESTINY 2

Following the epic reveal of the global Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere last month, Activision and Bungie will showcase Destiny 2 with an array of hands-on experiences for E3 audiences as they play the all-new story campaign and the competitive and cooperative multiplayer gameplay with fellow Guardians.

Additionally, E3 will showcase the debut of a brand-new Guardian subclass, the Arcstrider Hunter. Wielding a new super ability that allows them to summon an Arc-empowered staff for close-quarters melee combat, the Arcstrider Hunter will be playable for the first time at E3.

Destiny 2 is available for preorder now, and look for announcements about the Destiny 2 Open Beta during E3.

Destiny 2 will be playable on PS4 Pro consoles at the Activision Booth (South Hall #1001) and the PlayStation Booth (West Hall #4322), as well as on PC at the NVIDIA Booth (West Hall #5230).
